$2.5 million remodel/ expansion underway at Rotary Senior Living

It’s been two years in the making - but after lots of paperwork and countless hours of planning, a $2.5 million remodel and expansion project has fi nally begun at Rotary Senior Living (RSL). A 23-bed Assisted Living with Memory Support home is on track to open in the spring of 2019.

The remodel of the south side of the south home actually began several months ago. As residents of that side of the facility either moved to the North home, or transitioned out for various reasons, the rooms were left empty until no residents remained. This made way for remodeling to begin for the Assisted Living with Memory Support home which will house 17 one-person studios and three suites which offer a living room, bathroom, and a separate bedroom. That work was then followed in July by the start of construction on the southwest side of the south home where you will notice a wood frame is being erected. This will serve, according to RSL Administrator Tara Behrendsen, as the new Assisted Living with Memory Support entry.

“This (entry) area will also be considered their Great Room with a fi replace, a couple of televisions, couches...making it a place where the residents can just hang out,” she said.
