Beverly Nelson

Beverly Nelson, 87, of Goldfield died Sunday, March 10, 2024 surrounded by her family. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024 at United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield. Burial followed the lunch at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Visitation began at 9:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with serving the family.

Beverly Kay Reichter, daughter of Richard and Lois (Zinser) Reichter, was born February 17, 1937 in Goldfield. She attended elementary and high school in Goldfield, graduating in 1954. On June 20, 1954, Bev was united in marriage to Morse Wayne Nelson at the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield. Bev and Morrie moved to Clinton in August 1954. In 1970, they returned to Goldfield and together the couple owned and operated Nelson All In One Stop - a supermarket, self-service gas station and café in Goldfield until retiring in 1991. Bev was a faithful Presbyterian Church member. She worked at the Goldfield school lunchroom for three years.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Nelson, David Nelson, Jeffrey Nelson and daughter, Michelle (Arnold) Kurfman all of Goldfield. Seven grandchildren, Angela (Adam) Goodell of Goldfield, Rebecca Nelson of Clare, Jonathon Nelson of Goldfield, Stephanie Nelson of Goldfield, Logan (Ellie) Nelson of Montana, Katlin Kurfman of North Carolina, Brennan Kurfman of Goldfield; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and sister-in-law, Jeanine Reichter of Goldfield along with many extended family members.

Bev was preceded in death by her husband, Morse; her parents, Richard and Lois; brothers and sisters-in-law, Duane and Flo Reichter, Neal Reichter, and Bob and Eloise Richter.
