EG man part of band opening for Huey Lewis and the News at Shellebration

Lance Larsen of Eagle Grove (and Clarion before that) is a truck driver for ADS by day, but at night and on weekends, he has a hobby that takes him on the road for fun.

For nearly four years, Larsen has been performing with the rock band “Far from Innocent.” He is the drummer in the group that plays original music. Performing along side him are three Hampton natives - Craig Harkema, “Heater” Harkema, and Mike Pigman. Larsen said they’ve had a lot of fun together performing at places like Hard Rock in Sioux City to name just one. They have also earned a People’s Choice Award as well as two championship spots in different battle of the bands contests.

“It’s pretty cool,” Larsen said with a big smile.
