Horn loving life as a Pro Wrestler

Travis Horn, a 2003 graduate of Eagle Grove High School, said he fell in love with the sport of Pro Wrestling from a very young age, despite the fact that when he moved to Iowa in 1995 as a fifth-grader, he didn’t even realize wrestling was an option for a sport to compete in at a youth level. When he got older, he still didn’t join the wresting team because he felt “intimidated” by a sport he felt he knew nothing about because it was so different from the Pro Wrestling he was watching on television each week.

“I remember going to rent a movie on the weekends with my mom and instead of renting a movie I was drawn to the VHS Wrestling tapes with bright comic book style covers with characters on them that intrigued me to want to know more about who they were and why they were fighting one another,” admitted Horn.

Growing up, he idolized Pro Wrestler Jeff Hardy.

“His charisma, presence, fashion choices, and daredevil tactics always sucked me in and made me cheer for him more than anyone else,” Horn said.

While he adored Pro Wrestling, his sister, Jamie Horn, fell in love with dance, and became a Golden Star Drill Team member in high school. Horn had no idea that would affect his life as well.

“I love to dance and can attribute my love for dancing to my sister...I had an opportunity to be involved in a (Golden Stars) Drill Team Co-Ed dance and would say that was the day I fell in love with performing in front of a crowd,” he said.

Although he found a new passion...dance, Horn never attended any form of professional dance lessons. However, when he attended college at Iowa State, he got involved in the Iowa State Hip Hop Club and Dub H. This allowed him to grow and develop over the next eight years as both a dancer and a choreographer. Again, he had no clue how this would lead him to his true passion and persona of being a Pro Wrestler.
