Prestage sees large turnout for Manufacturing Day

In Celebration of National Manufacturing Day on Tuesday, Oct. 10, Prestage Foods held an Open House at their Eagle Grove office location. The event was held not only to give people a sneak peak of what’s to come with Prestage Foods, but also to change perception about the manufacturing environment while also drawing attention to the many outstanding career opportunities available in the field.

Jere Null, chief operating officer of Prestage Foods of Iowa, said they had a great turnout of people who were not only interested in the progress of the plant being made in Wright County, but also those who were interested in applying for jobs.

According to Bryce Davis, Wright County Economic Development Director, in the next three years there will be “an unprecedented amount of skilled workers retiring who will need to be replaced.”
