Wright County Humane Society in need of forever homes and volunteers

The Wright County Humane Society has been in operation for 16 years, taking care of abandoned animals of all sorts. While dogs and cats are the most popular, they’ve also, at one time or another, cared for ferrets, rabbits, and even birds until they could help them find their forever homes.

Unfortunately, there is no formal shelter to keep all the animals they have available for adoption. That means the Humane Society counts on the love of volunteers to take them in until they are adopted.

“We’re always looking for more foster families for the animals,” said long-term Humane Society member Terri Torkelson, adding that they pay for all the expenses of feeding the animals while staying with their temporary humans.
